XVC724BE is the core VLSCD detection PCB for ABB medium voltage converter and generator excitation protection system, fully integrated into rack assembly 3BHE009017R0102. It samples high-voltage DC bus divider signals continuously, adopts pure hardware comparator logic without DSP delay to detect DC bus short circuit, overvoltage, under-voltage and power device breakdown faults, and instantly blocks all optical trigger pulses to protect thyristor and IGCT power stacks from overcurrent burnout. 10kV full galvanic fiber isolation separates low-voltage detection circuit and 4.5kV high-power DC bus, avoiding high voltage backfeed damage to main control board XVC772A102. Built-in multi-color LED fault indicators support on-site direct fault judgment; bidirectional optical fiber transmits fault status back to main controller to trigger generator fast de-excitation or drive shutdown interlock. Widely applied in thermal/hydro/gas generator UNITROL excitation cabinets and ACS2000 medium voltage mill & mine four-quadrant variable frequency drives. Adopts 3U modular rack design with hot-swap support, full conformal coating PCB for dust and moisture resistance. ABB discontinued original new production, refurbished surplus assemblies are standard spare parts for power plant maintenance and capacity retrofit.
